Multimedia Sports Reporter Needed in Pierre, SD

The Capital Journal in Pierre, South Dakota, is seeking a full-time sports reporter to cover local and regional teams.

The positions start at $20 per hour and include relocation assistance and medical, dental, and retirement benefits.

This newsroom focuses on community reporting, with coverage centered on local issues, news, and sports. The Capital Journal also offers an excellent opportunity for new journalists to gain experience and clips while learning the ins and outs of working in a newsroom. Local sports are the heartbeat of our community and a great opportunity to build your brand while giving our readers the content they want related to sports. 

A bachelor's degree in journalism is preferred. Experience with multimedia reporting is a must. Candidates must submit writing samples with their resumes for consideration.
