Inspector

Code Inspections, Inc. is a third-party inspection agency based out of Horsham, Pennsylvania. Our company provides building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, energy, fire, accessibility and property maintenance inspection and plan review services throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

We are searching for motivated, responsible individuals to perform Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (PA UCC) inspections and plan reviews. FULL TIME AND PART TIME positions are available.

Qualified individuals for the Inspector position will conduct inspections and plan reviews for compliance with the PA UCC and adopted model codes, and enforcement of local municipal ordinances.

Experience in code enforcement, engineering, architecture, construction trades, property maintenance and/or home inspections is preferred.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform inspections and plan review of new and existing properties to determine compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Writing reports and notices.
• Meet with contractors, design professionals, municipal officials, tenants, landlords and property owners to explain code violations and methods to achieve compliance.

Code Inspections, Inc. is an EOE.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• International Code Council or PA UCC certification in any discipline or ability to obtain certification prior to start date.
• Ability to read and interpret codes, ordinances and regulations.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable vehicle.
• Effective communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions.
• Able to testify as a witness, presenting evidence clearly and calmly in court.
• Ability to work remotely and with limited supervision.
• Ability to operate computers and tablets.
• Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and other basic computer programs.
