ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote and design technical production programs and tech relate courses.
- Recruit, train, and coach students in technical production-related activities.
- Mentor tech students in pursuing internships, graduate school, and other professional opportunities.
- Coordinate local and out-of-town travel conferences and/to intercollegiate competitions.
- Provide technical support for productions, programs, and other events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Master's degree preferred, significant graduate coursework or terminal degree in Theatre related area is required.
- Three (3) years of teaching experience.
- Ability to use different teaching modalities, face-to-face and Online teaching.
- Prior experience working with diverse population of students in urban environment.
- Must have notable teaching success, preferably in teaching and mentoring students in design/technical areas.
- Must have strong working knowledge of sound, props, rigging, theatre technology, and lighting systems.
