The Director of Administration provides leadership for the Office of Financial Aid, Scholarships & Veterans Services. Is responsible for ensuring that the office meets all aspects of the Federal Participation Agreement and Kansas Board of Regents requirements for the offering of federal and state financial aid. Coordinates with athletics to confirm that all NCAA regulation is followed regarding athletic aid eligibility.

The Director - Administration analyzes changes in student financial aid trends to assist the office and the university with short- and long-range planning. The Director - Administration plays a key role in the planning and delivery of outstanding service to students and maintains a strong relationship with other university office administrators. Is responsible for the management of all university, foundation, state, and federal funds allocated to the office.

The Director of Financial Aid - Administration reports directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success and works closely with various staff from Registration, Admissions, Athletics, and the university peer level positions. The Director of Financial Aid - Administration will also provide guidance on Borrower Defense Claims and FAFSA Simplification.

  • This position is eligible for hybrid worksite. Work is performed partially remote and partially on ESU's campus.

  • Master's degree in Higher Education or a related field have extensive university and/or financial aid experience to include a minimum of 10 years in student services with 5 years of progressively responsible experience in administering financial aid programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups including students, faculty, administrators, and external service providers are necessary.
