The Data Analyst position is a member of the Application Services area of Information Technology and is responsible for supporting software applications and the Colleague ERP System throughout the college. The individual in this position provides user support for the Ellucian Colleague ERP System, develops queries and reports within the Informer Reporting software solution and works with users on complex data issues. The person in this position also handles duplicate record requests, provides data files to third party applications and works within the UniData and SQL Server database platforms. In addition, the person in this position builds computed columns, writes code paragraphs and assists developers with data requirements. The individual in this position interfaces with users to provide solutions that involve researching and solving complex technical issues.
• Gather business requirements with users to provide data and reporting to all areas of the college.
• Resolve duplicate records and work to improve processes that cause duplicate records.
• Extract complex data from the Colleague ERP System through Unidata, SQL and Informer queries.
• Assist in development of interfaces to integrate Colleague with third party software applications.
• Assist end-users in the use of the Colleague ERP and Informer Reporting.•
• Trains users in the use of Informer Reporting and troubleshoots complex queries.
• Troubleshoot software technical issues.
• Provide backup to Senior Developers.
• Serve on college committees and focus groups.
• Demonstrate and model the college’s employability skills: adaptability, communication, information processing, problem solving, responsibility and teamwork.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Associates Degree or higher in an IT related field is required from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, programming or related fields is preferred from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
• 1 to 3 year’s experience working with the Colleague ERP System
• 1 to 3 year’s experience working with the Informer Reporting System
• Experience working with all areas of a community college with emphasis working with Curriculum and ConED Admissions, Student Services, the Registrar, Finance, Financial Aid and HR.
• 3-5 year’s experience providing data extracts through Informer and Unidata queries
• 3-5 year’s experience working with HR Staff on reporting requirements
• 3-5 year’s experience with SQL Server and SSRS
• 3-5 year’s experience working with SQL Query language
• 3-5 year’s experience using data analytics tools such as Power BI, Business Objects and SAAS are a plus
• Broad knowledge of the Colleague ERP or similar Enterprise level System
• Working knowledge in the use of the Informer Query tool
• Ability to generate Savelists and query Colleague data at the Unidata level
• Working knowledge of the UNIX Operating System
• Ability to build computed columns
• Exceptional organizational skills and deadline management with the ability to prioritize projects and tasks.
• Strong verbal skills and personable manner in dealing with the public in person and on the phone.
• Ability to compose correspondence with correct punctuation and grammar.
• Strong proof reading skills.

• Working knowledge of Javascript
• Takes responsibility for special projects and other initiatives on behalf of the CIO
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules as needed. Will be in constant contact with public at times.
• Works with business unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and day-to-day operational activities
• Conducts meetings with senior IT leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to validate IT’s understanding of business goals and effectively communicate the IT strategy
• Coordinates special projects and other initiatives
