Help Wanted: Maintenance Mechanic

Position:

Imperial Machine & Tool Co. (“Imperial) is currently looking for a talented individual who can step in and perform a variety of Maintenance, Mechanical and Diagnostic functions in our Busy High-Tech CNC Machining & 3D Metal Printing Shop.

Candidate should have some prior experience and ability to repair and troubleshoot machines while helping to maintain the functionality and appearance of our building and grounds.

This position is Full Time with a work schedule of Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with overtime during the week and weekend as required. Imperial prefers professional and career-minded candidates that are willing to learn and advance within the company and can work well independently and with others.

Job Responsibilities May Include:

• Troubleshooting machinery issues and performing routine preventative maintenance.
• Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
• Cleaning, repairing and installing equipment and parts as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Complying with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in keeping the buildings and grounds clean.
• Organizing scrap metal shavings for recycling.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma / GED / trade or vocational school a plus but not required.
• Prior maintenance and mechanical experience.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures & practices.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability.
• Physical dexterity.
• Work independently and with others while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
