Position Summary:
Monmouth University is seeking three (3) passionate and experienced Mandarin, Chinese Language Teachers to lead a Chinese Learning Summer Camp in partnership with the School of Education at Monmouth University, which will be held on the Monmouth University Campus.
Successful candidates need to have :
- native-like proficiency in Mandarin, and
- a minimum of 2 years of experience implementing student-centered Chinese teaching

The program aims to provide immersive Chinese learning to rising 3rd - 9th graders including language, culture, sports and games.
This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.

Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese
- A minimum of 2 years of experience implementing student-centered Chinese teaching
- Understanding of key principles of language acquisition, creating linguistically and culturally rich learning environments
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development to establish a supportive learning environment
- Evidence of excellence in teaching and a commitment to completing the program
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple tasks while maintaining accountability
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in teaching Chinese as a second language
