Job Description
To perform clinical laboratory testing which assists in the diagnosis of pathological conditions. To ensure that precision and accuracy is maintained through the entire testing process.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multi-disciplinary staff. Demonstrated ability to perform varied clinical laboratory analysis. Demonstrated skills in proper specimen collection, including patient preparation, transportation and storage of specimens. Working knowledge of reagent stability and storage. Demonstrated skills in implementing quality control policies and procedures of the laboratory. Demonstrated knowledge of factors that influence test results. Demonstrated skills to assess and verify the validity of patient test results through the evaluation of quality control sample values prior to reporting patient test results. Basic computer skills.

Some experience in clinical laboratory testing. Some experience in performing CBC's, mono, pregnancy, rapid strep, urinalysis, rapid flu, whole blood glucose, sed rates and wet preps.
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
Laboratory testing in an out-patient facility. MLT or MT ASCP certified or equivalent experience, education, or training. Phlebotomy skills. Associate Degree in chemical, physical, biological, or medical laboratory technology or equivalent training, education or experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Conditions of Employment
Given the nature of the positions in Student Engagement & Enrollment Services that provide support to student services and/or student-centered programs, the employee occupying this position may be required to work during a university closing as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e., telework, etc.).
The working hours will include shifts of Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm or 10am to 7pm.
This position is designated as sensitive. A fingerprint-based criminal history is check will be required of the final candidate.
This is an open until filled recruitment. This recruitment may close after the five-day required posting period when a suitable pool of applicants has been generated.
