Position Overview for Development Manager, Digital Fundraising

In this new role, the Development Manager, Digital Fundraising, will report to the Senior Director of Development, and provide critical insight and support for development activities with attention dedicated to maximizing income, supporter recruitment, and retention. Main areas of responsibility include oversight of how our CRM and fundraising platforms interact with one another, converting generated social media leads to donations, and optimizing digital channel communications, including email fundraising appeals, search, paid ads, and social.

As part of this effort, the Development Manager will also work on all areas of the digital strategy including planning and implementation deliver a coherent and consistent package of expert support across the different fundraising areas.

Location:             Los Angeles Region, San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, or New York City only. Point Foundation Staff currently works fully remote but only applicants that reside in one of these four regions/cities will be considered for this position.

Salary:                  $62,000 - $67,000 BOE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Contribute to the Development Department’s overall strategy and execution of its fundraising goals by bringing knowledge of current online donor trends and technology.

-Manage consultant(s) on direct marketing and digital fundraising campaign content and execution.

-Oversee creation and execution of online cultivation, stewardship, and engagement communications, as well as direct solicitations.

-Ensure Point’s donor database and communication platforms are optimized to work correctly and efficiently.

-Monitor and report on digital fundraising campaigns.

-Work across teams to ensure online and offline fundraising campaigns are integrated and digital channels are used effectively for retention and development of supporters.

-Develop online and offline supporter stewardship journeys to grow income and retain support.

-Develop and test new initiatives and innovative concepts for fundraising; optimize click and open rates as well as conversion rates of emails by executing email campaign testing and social media message testing.

-Develop email automations and journeys for donor user segments.

-Responsible for creating, editing, and updating website content (maintaining and optimizing); work with team members to develop new website functions.

-Monitor digital fundraising trends, emerging audiences, and competitor activity.

- Collaborate with Communications and Marketing team to maintain and evolve Point’s fundraising section of the website.

- Coordinate with other members of the Development and Marketing and Communications team on omni-channel fundraising campaigns, ensuring the creation and delivery of messaging is consistent across all platforms.

- Execute digital advertising and social media ad campaigns for lead generation and conversion.

- Work within an existing brand voice, both in visual representation and editorial style, to support the consistency of messaging across campaigns and the organization.

- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

- A demonstrated record of fundraising is required

- Understanding of moves management

- Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, HubSpot, Fundraise Up, MailChimp, and/or similar CRMs, email, and social platforms, etc.

- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills

- Ability to work as part of a team and advance as a development professional

- Positive, cheerful, and professional demeanor

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary range BOE $62,000 to $67,000
