Job Description
UMKC is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Oral Medicine faculty member in the Department of Oral Pathology, Radiology and Medicine.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Pre-and post-doctoral dental and dental hygiene classroom and clinical teaching in content areas related to oral medicine;
- Consultation with students/residents regarding oral medicine issues;
- Specific educational application of biomedical science to patient care is expected.
Qualifications
Candidates are required to have a DDS/DMD or equivalent, either be American Board of Oral Medicine eligible or Orofacial Pain eligible, be eligible for dental licensure in the State of Missouri, and have a commitment to teaching, clinical dentistry, research/scholarly activity, and service.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with either of the following: (a)Board eligible or certified in Oral Medicine with additional advanced/graduate training in orofacial pain or (b) Board eligible or certified in Orofacial Pain with additional advanced/graduate training in oral medicine.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with rank, credentials and experience.
