Job Description

UMKC is seeking applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Oral Medicine faculty member in the Department of Oral Pathology, Radiology and Medicine.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Pre-and post-doctoral dental and dental hygiene classroom and clinical teaching in content areas related to oral medicine;
  • Consultation with students/residents regarding oral medicine issues;
  • Specific educational application of biomedical science to patient care is expected.
Qualified candidates may be eligible to participate in faculty practice one day per week.

Qualifications

Candidates are required to have a DDS/DMD or equivalent, either be American Board of Oral Medicine eligible or Orofacial Pain eligible, be eligible for dental licensure in the State of Missouri, and have a commitment to teaching, clinical dentistry, research/scholarly activity, and service.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with either of the following: (a)Board eligible or certified in Oral Medicine with additional advanced/graduate training in orofacial pain or (b) Board eligible or certified in Orofacial Pain with additional advanced/graduate training in oral medicine.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with rank, credentials and experience.
