Clinical Research Assistant



The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to work closely with the Principal Investigators and Laboratory. Our disease center’s focus is the diagnosis and treatment of Melanoma. Our research lab is involved in the study of Melanoma clinical research studies and biological specimen banking. We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to coordinate several melanoma research studies and a large tissue banking protocol. Incumbent will support patient recruitment and consent, IRB relevant compliance with study protocol, coordinate blood draws for patients recruited, as well as delivering the samples to the lab for processing. Blood and tissue processing are included in the incumbent’s duties. Other duties include a significant amount of data entry for patient clinical status and treatments, bio sample annotation, maintenance of the database, simple spreadsheet creation, data management and distribution of database materials to investigators


Associate's Degree and basic laboratory skills required. Citi Training including HIPAA
