The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine is accepting applications for a full-time, open-rank faculty position in the Department of Endodontics. The faculty rank and salary will depend on experience and qualifications. The primary responsibility of this position would be to serve as a Graduate Program Director for the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at the School of Dental Medicine. Other responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction of dental students and residents, scholarly activities, and service. Optional participation in University Dental Health Services faculty practice is also available.

Applicants must have a DDS or DMD degree, and a Certificate in Endodontics from an ADA-accredited school. The applicant must be eligible for a Pennsylvania dental license. Preference will be given to those with additional training, and experience, and be eligible for board certification from the American Board of Endodontics.

External referee letters are required for all new faculty appointments at Pitt Dental Medicine. The number of required external referee letters varies according to the type of faculty appointment, as does the method of solicitation. At the rank of Assistant Professor: The candidate may submit three letters addressed to either the Search Committee Chair or the Office of Faculty Affairs. At the rank of Associate Professor or Professor: The candidate should supply the names and contact information of six potential external referees whom we may contact on your behalf.
