Details

The Medical Laboratory Science Division, Department of Pathology, University of Utah School of Medicine, invites applications for two 12-month non-tenure track positions with flexible start date between February 1, 2023 and June 30, 2023.

Primary responsibilities will be in teaching core didactic and laboratory coursework to accommodate growth of a well-established and robust NAACLS-accredited Bachelor of Science program in Medical Laboratory Science. Administrative responsibilities in the Medical Laboratory Science Division will also be assigned commensurate with prior experience and faculty interest. Academic rank will be commensurate with prior experience.

Applicants must be ASCP certified as a Technologist, possess a Master of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Laboratory Medicine, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field, have a minimum of 2 years laboratory bench-level experience, and have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to applicants who have college or clinical teaching experience, demonstrated scholarly productivity and a record of active participation in professional societies. Individuals with generalist, immunohematology (blood bank), or clinical chemistry experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
