Job Description Summary
The Wake Forest University Department of Music seeks a dynamic and versatile pedagogue for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Music position in Piano, to begin July 1, 2024. The teaching load is three courses per semester, and within that load, the successful candidate will be expected to teach individual piano instruction and either Introduction to Western Music (MSC 100) or a Music History and Culture elective course (MSC 102-113) that fulfills divisional requirements for non-majors. An earned doctorate in piano performance is preferred; ABD candidates will also be considered. Evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate level is highly preferred.
