The Department of Education at Wake Forest University expects to fill a non-tenure track Visiting Clinical Professor position to begin July 2023. The initial term of this appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal. Applicants must hold at least a Master's degree at the time of appointment. The applicant should have at least five years of successful teaching experience in diverse and inclusive school environments and a commitment to service and community engagement.
We are a Bachelor's and Master's degree granting department with a strong relationship with and commitment to public schools. This position has a 3:3 teaching load and includes instruction and supervision of students in school-based field placements. Teaching responsibilities will depend on the qualifications of the applicant and the needs of the department. The primary teaching responsibility will be multiple sections of EDU 102L: Exploring School Communities. Other courses may include but are not limited to EDU 250L/364L: Student Teaching Supervision; EDU 293/365: Professional Development Seminar; and EDU 307/717: Instructional Design, Assessment, and Technology. Additional responsibilities will entail service to the department and university, including serving on department committees and advising undergraduate students.
